Effective July 1, 2012, USC School of Medicine-Columbia is a Tobacco and Smoke-Free Campus!

Tobacco and Smoke-FreeBecause our students, our patients and your health matters to us, effective July 1, 2012, USC School of Medicine-Columbia (all campuses and sites) will become entirely tobacco and smoke-free.

Though our buildings have been tobacco and smoke-free for years, we’re expanding our commitment to good health by including the areas surrounding those buildings.  In the interest of promoting good health and healthy lifestyles, USC School of Medicine-Columbia joins numerous other tobacco and smoke-free medical schools around the country in modeling healthy behaviors for our community.

The USC School of Medicine-Columbia Educational Trust Board, the Dean, other faculty and staff, and with the approval of President Harris Pastides, all are supportive and approve of the  USC School of Medicine-Columbia becoming a totally tobacco and smoke-free campus!
