Support the South Carolina Medical Alumni Challenge

CHALLENGE UPDATE: As of Dec. 31, 2012, contributions from 243 physician alumni have produced an impressive participation rate of 12.2 percent. You generosity and competitive spirit have allowed the School of Medicine to exceed our 10 percent participation goal for the end-of-the-year. Congratulations!

The news only gets better. Giving from the School of Medicine alumni have pushed us ahead of MUSC by a margin of 12.2 percent to 9.3 percent.

Thank you for participating and rallying to our call. Let us continue our momentum for another six months or until June 30 when the challenge officially ends. Don’t delay — please make your gift today in support of the School of Medicine and the South Carolina Medical Alumni Challenge.

Help us defeat MUSC! July 1, 2012 is the official start of the very first South Carolina Medical Alumni Challenge between the USC School of Medicine and the MUSC College of Medicine. 

The friendly rivalry runs July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.  MUSC and USC share the same goal, which is to increase overall giving from our alumni physicians during the next 12 months.  The medical school with the highest percentage of giving during this period will prevail and secure bragging rights for the year.  Your gift will not only help the school in this contest, but also ensures the School of Medicine can continue to provide the same high quality medical education that you received.

All cash, pledges and planned gifts of any size made to the school or university by physician alumni will count toward this challenge.  If you donate to other USC programs and schools – yes, those gifts also count.  The exception is dues and memberships which are excluded due to IRS regulations.
