South Carolina Beta Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society holds spring induction

On Thursday, March 15, the South Carolina Beta Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA) Honor Medical Society held their 2012 Spring Induction Banquet.  With more than 90 attendees, 14 students from the Classes of 2012 and 2013 were inducted into AΩA, along with three resident physicians, two School of Medicine faculty members and two alumni. Robert F. Sabalis, PhD, Liaison Committee on Medical Education assistant secretary for the Association of American Medical Colleges, was the AΩA visiting professor and guest speaker for the event. In addition, Ada D. Stewart, MD, was recognized with the AΩA Volunteer Clinical Faculty Award.
